George Smeaton

The hallmark of George’s work is a strong geometric process, translating the world around him into a new ordered point of view. He often uses photographs of a diverse range of everyday subjects as the starting point for his unique expressions of daily life.

George’s work has been exhibited many times, including an exhibition at Bowen House at the New Zealand Parliament, Hōhepa’s fundraising show, and Permutate at the Lyttelton Woolshed (2022).
