Step into a colourful world where imagination, curiosity and creativity come together.

Artists Jager Sowman and Matthew Swaffield bring two very different artistic approaches to their shared exhibition at The Shed Gallery. Jager is inspired by science fiction, family and animals, his work reflects his curiosity and willingness to try something new. Jager has exhibited at numerous group exhibitions including the National IHC Art Awards where he was chosen by media outlet 7 Sharp and IHC Aotearoa to be featured and flown to the event in Wellington.

Matthew is all about colour! Working primarily with pens and paint, he creates vibrant abstract compositions and surreal still-life imagery. His playful approach brings energy and imagination to his work. Alongside his art practice at The White Room, Matthew is also a potter, actor and keen rower.

Together, Jager and Matthew create an exhibition full of colour, imagination and unexpected ideas, showcasing two artists who love to explore, experiment and make art their own way.
